Shape of Your Face

The shape of your face also comes into play when choosing the best length for a necklace.

If you are blessed with an oval shaped face then you are able to wear all different lengths of necklaces.

If your face is heart shaped then you are best to stick with the shorter lengths like Collar of Choker. 25-40cm

Rectangular shaped faces are similar to hearts in that the shorter lengths tend to suit better. 25-40cm

Round shaped faces are better suited to the longer Opera style Necklaces. 70-90cm

If you are wanting to make a necklace for a male, then aim for 50cm (20”).  This is the most popular length and will set the chain just on the collar bones.  If you are wanting to hang a pendant on it, consider going a little longer to about 55cm.

Keep in mind this is only a suggested guideline.  Wear what makes you happy.
