Shape of Your Face
The shape of your face also comes into play when choosing the best length for a necklace.
If you are blessed with an oval shaped face then you are able to wear all different lengths of necklaces. |
If your face is heart shaped then you are best to stick with the shorter lengths like Collar of Choker. 25-40cm |
Rectangular shaped faces are similar to hearts in that the shorter lengths tend to suit better. 25-40cm |
Round shaped faces are better suited to the longer Opera style Necklaces. 70-90cm |
If you are wanting to make a necklace for a male, then aim for 50cm (20”). This is the most popular length and will set the chain just on the collar bones. If you are wanting to hang a pendant on it, consider going a little longer to about 55cm.
Keep in mind this is only a suggested guideline. Wear what makes you happy.
